Many on social media are sharing a resurfaced video of how Barack Obama reacted to a guest fainting compared to how Donald Trump dealt with one earlier this week.
The Trump administration held a press conference on Thursday (November 6) with drug makers to expand coverage and reduce prices for obesity treatments Zepbound and Wegovy.
While plans were laid out for the government’s Medicare and Medicaid programs, the attention was briefly stolen after a man fainted during the press conference.
The man was immediately helped and laid on the floor by those around him, with the whole thing captured on camera.
As many people rushed in to help the fallen man and Karoline Leavitt, the White House Press Secretary, attempted to usher the press out, Trump stood over the man without moving or saying anything.

One snap shared widely online captured the brief moment Trump simply faced the audience, looking forward, while first aid was administered.
Trump’s reaction has been compared to how Obama dealt with a fainting guest during a press conference outside the White House in October 2013.
The 44th POTUS was speaking to reporters about the Obamacare website when Karmel Allison, an invited guest of honor, began to sway behind him.
One woman could be seen holding Allison’s hand as Obama looked behind him and stopped the type one diabetic from falling forwards.
“You’re ok. I’m right here. I got you,” the former president said as one of his aides led her away from the press conference. “This happens when I talk too long,” Obama then joked.Play
Allison took to X, formerly known as Twitter, soon after thanking the then-president. “I’m ok world- just got a little lightheaded.Thanks, @BarackObama for catching me! And good thing this pregnant diabetic is pregnant,” she wrote.
Following the fainting incident during Trump’s press conference on Thursday, the president later gave the press an update on the man.
“One of the representatives of the companies — one of the companies — got a little bit lightheaded. You saw he went down and he’s fine. They just sent him out. He’s got doctor’s care, but he’s fine. So we had a little bit of an interruption, sorry for that,” he said.
David Ricks, the CEO of Eli Lilly, who was speaking at the time of the incident confirmed the man was a guest of the weight loss drug provider.
And as per the Hill, he confirmed the man was ‘doing great’ after receiving treatment from the White House staff.
